Okay, okay, I have a trip booked and it's kind of a biggie, at least for me. I'm hitting Northern California/the Pacific Northwest near Labor Day for 9 days and am catching the Pavement in both Portland and Seattle. The Portland venue - McMenamins Edgefield - looks pretty cool although I am admittedly most excited for the Seattle show to see them in a theatre like venue which is still tops for me if it can't be a small, sweaty, grimey club.
Awesome! Have you been out to Portland, Jest? I was there for a week earlier this summer--great town. You'll not want to return to Chicago. (In fact, the reason I was out there is that a friend just moved there from Chi-town.) Anyhew, I haven't been to their Edgefield property, but their are "McMenamins" all over town. They repurpose old & disused buildings into bars, restaurants, hotels and the like--really cool.
Nope. Any recommendations? Think we are doing a microbrew tour by bus during one of the days. I guess Portland is just crawling with them? Microbrews that is. Haven't been to Seattle before either. Planning to check to see if there is a Frasier walking tour. Okay, maybe kidding on that
Yeah, well so is geometry.
