Re: 4Knots Festival, NYC 7/11

that freeze the saints is awesome -- i'd actually love to see a full band version of that song but with malk some synthy stuff throughout on a micro korg or something.

"yer steppin' on me, bro!"

The band looks great, new haircuts and old growth included.

Nice Cinnamon video! Thanks fatty. Wish I was there too.

Fantastic times await!

Re: 4Knots Festival, NYC 7/11

So the Guild S-100 or whatever it is, is back! Sounds great. Very Deady

Re: 4Knots Festival, NYC 7/11

Thats funny you say that  Setya cuz I was gonna ask if that was a Guild. I love Guild acoutics, wish I had one. Or a Martin is pretty sweet. I used to have a Seagull with a built in plug in and that was the best acoustic I've ever had. (I just thought how 'Butt had a plug-in' haa haa....ok sorry, totally unnecessary).

Fantastic times await!

I had a Guild acoustic at one point and loved it as well. Here's some more info on SM's S-100: http://www.thecurrent.org/feature/2014/ … en-malkmus

I remember a post from maybe Radixxs, some time on the Wig Out tour Stephen dropped the Guild so I'm glad to see it's back in action.

Re: 4Knots Festival, NYC 7/11

ok, interesting. I didn't know he dropped it. You know I'm not exactly rolling in the dough but I actually perfer cheap guitars that sound decent. Kinda like sunglasses, in which I wont spend more than 20 bucks on a pair. I might sit on 'em or something.

Thanks for the link...

Fantastic times await!

I totally read "butt plug" the first time and had to do a double-take.

Re: 4Knots Festival, NYC 7/11

Buttress. I'm into cheap guitars right now too. I still have one "nice" strat, but my others are weirdo cheap stuff -- a japanese copy-of-a-copy plywood strat from the 70s that I gave a partial SM-treatment to, cut the middle and bridge pickups out and ditched the tone knobs and 5-way switch...and then i found this mid-90s MIM black label squier series strat that just kills. lots of cool cheap stuff around these days

Re: 4Knots Festival, NYC 7/11

First, thanks for using my full name without actually being pissed at me (like my wife does). Also, I like how tweeked your guitars. I'm not super technical but have been making some strides in this area as by brother gave me a old black Ibanez of his that needs some electrical work. I'm hoping to learn more about the inner workings of a gee-tar in the process. Sounds like you know a few things about that.

Fantastic times await!

Thanks for the link. I loved it then and it sounds even better now.  I wish more people could hear his brilliance. With his voice cracking and ragged he emits more genuine emotion than virtually anything on top 40 radio.
