Impressive!
I've been listening to Oneida: ROMANCE
Does anyone else's new music come in bunches? I think the Jicks were the last new record I got. This week I got 4.
...
1. The Essex Green - Hardly Electronic. This thing if fucking awesome. Album of the year for me (so far). As good if not better than anything they've done. It's almost like they saved up 10 years of songs to make an album .
2. T. Hardy Morris - Dude, The Obscure. Also really good. Definitely some real gems, and some just pretty good songs.
3. The Rock*A*Teens - Sixth House. A pretty solid indie rock album. Didn't blow me away, but was solid start to finish.
4. Crooked Fingers - Red Devil Dawn (reissue). Nothing new for me as the extra demos that came with it weren't new to me, but still one of my favorite albums.
elegant indeed...
note to self: do not click anything while on board while holding child in lap [too much splanin' to do]

Until today the only thing I heard of Molina was the Sun Kil Moon Modest Mouse covers. I forgot that he was also Sogs: Ohia which I never gave the time of day because I didnt like his covers. Anyway, listen to this.

Not normally my cup of tea but it hit me right today.
Can't stop listening to this lovely Aussie jangly indie pop rekkid. The cover art reminds me of Sparkle Hard.

Stephen Malkmus, Silver Jews cover
Holy moly that’s some kind of nice.
LOL... Published an album onto the streaming services. Probably the only one listening to it...
daz beauty...
Yeah KD, daz rad! I listened to it on TIDAL, really good stuff! I'm getting some Elliott Smith vibes (especially the vox on some songs) some Weezer vibes with some guitars, general Jickment vibes and of course original KD vibes. I think my fave song at the moment is Dark Horse. Haha is the Oops cover a nod to the infamous Britney board saga? I think maybe you posted that one here before. I've had an iTunes voucher given by a colleague burning a hole on my desk for a few months, I hadn't used it yet as for digital listening I just stream these days but have just used it to purchase your album. I would have done that even without a voucher of course!
Cheers for the tunes KD.
GWTR thanks man!!!
Oops! is a re-recorded version that was the subject of the britney boards fiasco. Several of the songs (dark horse as well) are older songs I've re-recorded with all the improvements in software and gear. It was fun to revisit them and make them sound a lot better.
Picked this one up yesterday:
ORB - The Space Between
Träden - S/T
Unknown Mortal Orchestra - Sex & Food
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Polygondwanaland
Tonights companion:
Pavement
Live Europaturen MCMXCVIIOn the back it says:
I bandet medverkar
Spyral Stairz
SM Jenkins
Markus Ibold
Stefan Vest
Bob Nastanovicz
That's a legit release, made up to look like a fake bootleg. There are two similar (but non-overlapping) releases, one purple & one orange, one was a bonus for BtC Deluxe reissues, the other was a Record Store Day exclusive

Pavement/Stephen Malkmus - As I Look At Life Lathe Cut Personal Comp
At the risk of annoying the shit of this group and several other message board communities, I have been entrusted by this company for my continued patronship and delight in their product.
Few things (to me at least) are as gratifying as playing a custom compiled lp of songs you have longed to see issued/reissued on vinyl and that is why they are here and offering this service.
I will be posting some of my collections that I have compiled and cut over the next few days/weeks in hopes of alerting anyone here who might be interested of their existence. MixtapeVinylonDemand offers the service of cutting music that you have purchased onto 12", 10" and 7" records. Likely if you are an audiophile you will have already stopped reading, but let me say that the sound on these discs is truly remarkable and a pleasure on every spin. For those concerned with the gray legality, I should mention that these are one off productions for just that reason and I should also mention I will definitely purchase proper releases when they are issued. If you are even remotely interested check out https://www.etsy.com/shop/MixtapeVinylonDemand and peruse the options. They even apparently print sleeves now! (I printed stickers at my local print shop). If you end up going through with something use the discount code MIXTAPEVINYL for 10% off through November 17. If you have any questions ask them and hopefully I haven't ruined your day
As an aside, I had previously cut Rooftop Gambler, Porpoise and the Hand Grenade, Leisurely Poison and Hands off the Bayou on other comps, hence their absence. The three cuts from the Major Leagues 2x7" are here because I think those 7" leave a lot to be desired sound wise. They sound much better on this
